The Keynote will explore the role digital engineering could play to enable the ADF to pursue a 'Speed to Capability', as identified by the Defence Strategic Review in 2023 and reiterated in the 2024 National Defence Strategy. 

A keynote session with Air Vice Marshal (AVM) David Scheul focusing on Defenceís commitment to streamline and contemporise the way the department designs, develops, and sustains equipment for the Australian Defence Force. AVM David Scheul is the inaugural Head of Air Defence and Space Division within Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, responsible for the acquisition and sustainment of all air defence, air traffic, Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN) and space programs. He will be exploring the role digital engineering could play to enable the ADF's pursuit of a 'Speed to Capability' identified by the Defence Strategic Review in 2023 and reiterated in the 2024 National Defence Strategy.

This panel will explore how Digital Engineering can be leveraged to accelerate the conceptualisation, design and realisation of complex and mission-critical systems, and systems-of-systems.

The focus of the panel discussions will be on what engineering problems Digital Engineering can help solve through the eyes of senior and well-regarded speakers in the Defence and infrastructure sectors.

Speakers include: Air Vice-Marshal Robert Denney (Head Force Integration), Brigadier Damien McLachlan (Director General Landworthiness), Simon Vaux (CEO and Co-Founder of DEOS Digital). Hosted by Marco Meloni (SESA Defence and Aerospace Lead)
